llms.txt Generator

How our free llms.txt generator works

Free, no signup: see how this llms.txt generator turns your sitemap and page metadata into a llms.txt draft, then publish it and check it.

Enter a public website URL in the form below. The generator reads the Sitemap lines in your robots.txt (falling back to /sitemap.xml and /sitemap_index.xml) and adds the pages linked from your homepage. It then fetches up to 40 pages, spread across up to 8 URL sections, and uses each page's title and meta description. It is rule-based: no AI writes or rewrites your copy.

Pages are grouped into H2 sections by the first part of their URL path (a language prefix such as /en/ is skipped), following the format documented at llmstxt.org. Sections with a single page are merged into "Pages", and pages under paths like /privacy, /terms, /imprint or /careers go into an "Optional" section that AI tools can skip when context is short. Generation is capped at about a minute, so very slow sites may time out.

Review the draft and edit section names or descriptions right in the text box, then download it and upload it to your web root so it is served as plain text at https://yourdomain.com/llms.txt. Afterwards, check the live URL or the pasted text with our free llms.txt validator, which flags a missing H1, missing sections and malformed links.

llms.txt is a map of links. Some documentation sites also publish llms-full.txt, which inlines the full text of their pages. This tool generates llms.txt, not llms-full.txt; hosted llms.txt and llms-full.txt are planned for Pro. Generating is free with no signup, rate-limited per IP to keep it free for everyone, and your site and the generated file are not stored.
